Returning for his fifth year in Pierre and his third as the Zap Head Coach, Jamy is ready for summer 2025!

“I am really excited for the third season of the Zap, we have such a great staff, and some great things happening at Hyde Stadium this summer. This will be the best summer at Hyde Stadium, I am excited for the fans, and the players to be part of the third season of the Zap. GO ZAP!"

Alex Sheetz

General Manager

Originally from Illinois, Alex first ventured to Pierre as a specialty relief pitcher for the Pierre Trappers in 2018 and returning in 2019. Alex attended Monmouth College in Illinois where he graduated with a Business Administration Degree and received All American Honors for Pitching in his Senior Season. Shortly after graduating Alex moved to Pierre with his wife, who was born and raised in Pierre, Rebecca Sheetz (Norris).


"Coming out to Pierre for the first time after my Junior season at Monmouth College to play baseball, I never would have believed that 7 years later I would be the General Manager for the team here in Pierre. It truly has been an honor to be so welcomed by the community, and I am excited to help guide this team into the future. Pierre has become my home over these pay 5 years and I owe it all to summer baseball here in Pierre. GO ZAP!"

Bob Habeger

Originally from South Dakota, Bob graduated from Ramona High School in Ramona, South Dakota. After his military service, Bob and his family moved to North Lake Tahoe, where he is an entrepreneur and business owner. He has been married to his wife, Vickie, for 51 years, and they have three sons and two grandsons.
He has been actively involved in all aspects of baseball, playing, coaching, and ownership of teams for over 60 years. 

A message from Bob, "I am excited to be part of the ownership of the Oahe Zap in Pierre!"

Jamy habeger

Coach Habeger is excited to be back in Pierre for the summer. Habeger was born in Madison, South Dakota, and is entering his fifth year in Pierre. Coach is currently coaching, and working as a Special Education specialist for students with disabilities in Sacramento, California. Jamy played baseball at Sacramento State, where he graduated with a Kinesiology degree. After college, Jamy traveled to Australia and played rugby. Jamy continued his baseball career, playing Independent baseball for the Tahoe Twins in Reno, Nevada.
